D.2.6 LILO start-up messages

no message No part of LILO has been loaded. LILO has not been installed or
the parttition containing LILO is not active.

Lnumber The first step of the loader has been loaded and started up, but the
second step could not be loaded. The two digit error number
charasterize the problem. This may be caysed by a physical fault on the
hard disk or an incorrect geometry (wrong parameters in distab).

LI The first step of the loader has been able to load the second step,
whose processing then failed. This can be caused by an incorrect
geometry or by repositioning the file boot.b withe out reinstalling
the loader.

LIL The second step of the loader has been started, but cannot read the
descriptor tables from the map file. This indicates a physical defect
or and an incorrect geometry.

LIL? The second step of the loader has been loaded to an incorrect address.
This behaviour has the same reasons as LI.

LIL- The descriptor table is faulty. This indecates an incorrect geometry or
a repositioning of the map file without reinstalling the loader.

LILO All parts of the loader were loaded.
